POOLSTONES by SOFIKITIS is pleased to announce the implementation of the latest project in which it was involved. The project was constructed in Cyprus and the clients selected Capershill Ltd for their villa full renovation, because of its experience and reputation. POOLSTONES by SOFIKITIS undertook successfully the supply of the selected material of this project, Italian Travertine, which was used for the interior and the exterior renovation of the villa.
The stunning decoration of the swimming pool constitutes the most impressive part of this construction, since the products used for its construction are of unique design and texture. The size of the pool is 19 x 8 meters while its shape is rectangular facilitating the accurate installation of copings.
The overflow installed is considered as the narrowest due to the fact that the water of a 200m2 pool can overflow in only 23cm of channel and coping, ensuring the maximum utilization of space around the pool. The only non-natural material used is the hidden underneath support of the removable top of the channel, in order to offer safety to any weight that will be forced against it while remaining invisible.
The pool channels are made ??of the Travertine marble which is 5cm thick and has the geometry required for holding the bather, as well as the proper overflowing water drainage. It is worth noting that the drainage of the overflowing water takes place through two hidden slots. Travertine has undergone compacting process, while the grate surface has been anti-slip sandblasted having honed finishing, creating a stunning, visual effect.
The renovation lasted 1 year and was successfully accomplished a few days ago.
