The first part of the iPool2013 contest was completed on 31 July 2013. The occupation of the first place culminated POOLSTONES by SOFIKITIS participation in the contest. POOLSTONES by SOFIKITIS participated with a project implemented in Skiathos and managed to impress the audience, reflecting companys efforts to raise the standards within the pool industry.
Despite the fact that by the time this project was built, POOLSTONES by SOFIKITIS was still at an early stage regarding its expertise in pool decoration, it is still one of its most representative projects which has highly contributed to POOLSTONES by SOFIKITIS international reputation expansion.
The material used for this project is the California Honey marble, which is particularly known in Greece and mined in Morocco. The bush hammered and the hand tool scratched processes accompany this marble. The construction of this project also involved the decoration of an overflow channel, a vanity edge pool, natural stone walls and outdoor kitchen benches.
Undoubtedly, this striking result in this private villa on Skiathos island was further amplified by the Greek nature, which looks wonderful once again.
It is worth noting that this particular photo has been also selected by the training institution “The Genesis 3 Design Group” and has been placed on the home page of its website http://www.genesis3.com since 2006.
